Feedback on All Natural Cosmetic/Beauty Products?
Question by Heather: Feedback on All Natural Cosmetic/Beauty Products? Since having a baby in 2005, I have become keenly aware of all the unnecessary chemical exposure we have in the normal course of our lives. I have made many changes to my family’s diet, methods for cleaning, laundering, etc. One area that is of particular interest to me is moving toward all natural cosmetic solutions. I have found several things that work well for me and I am considering trying to make and sell a small line of natural bath and beauty products.
I’d like to know before investing significant time and money how many people are out there that are also interested in this and would want to try my products. Most of the things I use on myself and my child are comprised of essential oils in a base as well as mixed with edible household ingredients for cosmetic/beauty purposes (hair and skin cleansing and moisture, makeup remover, skin exfoliation, bath perfumes/soaks).
Who else is interest in this kind of alternative to standard bath/beauty solutions? Feedback appreciated.
Anyone use The Body Shop’s perfume oils?
Question by MonicaL: Anyone use The Body Shop’s perfume oils? I’m looking for a vanilla perfume, but I’ve heard that cheaper ones like Vanilla Musk smell too syntheticy. I don’t want to smell syntheticy! I want a natural vanilla scent. Should I try the Body Shop? I’ve never used their products before. Also, are perfume oils better than perfumes? What’s the difference? Thanks.
Q&A: What Essential oils or natural products to rub on cats to help them get along?
Question by qcdon30: What Essential oils or natural products to rub on cats to help them get along? Cats live in the world of scent.. I was told that if I “perfumed” all the cats with the same scent it would help them get along. We have had these cats for over a year and one cat fights all the others. Does anyone know of a “safe” “natural” scented oil or perfume or cologne I could use to make them all smell the same to hopefully get them to start to get along better? one that is safe for them to ingest cause they will lick it off them selves eventually I know that they may never get along but I would like to at least try some other things before I call it quits and give up.
POLL: Natural Laundry Detergent?
Question by : POLL: Natural Laundry Detergent? I am a stay-at-home mom and I have a baby with sensitive skin and eczema. I have done a lot of research about safe, natural laundry detergent and I have found something great. I think it’s fabulous. But very few people have heard of it. I’m thinking about buying it in bulk with the intention of re-selling it. But before I place a big order, I wanted to find out whether or not this is something that other people would be as interested in as I am. So I have a little poll for you guys:
Would you be interested in a laundry detergent that is:
100% natural and biodegradable Chemical, perfume, dye, fragrance and toxin free Great for people with sensitive skin and allergies Is naturally antimicrobial Eliminates the need for fabric softeners Can be used for other cleaning purposes Is very effective Is cheaper per load than store bought detergent
Would you try something like this if it was in an unconventional form? (Does not come already in liquid form and in a bottle). Comes in a ‘solid’ form and you put it in a small drawstring muslin bag and throw it into the wash. Works for regular washers or High Efficiency washers.
Thanks!
