Question by Molly: do I have an eating disorder? Please read this and help me? I’m 13 years old (almost 14) , 5’3/5’4 and i weigh around 120 pounds (might be a bit less)
I know i’m not fat but i’m very self conscious of my body. For the past couple months i’ve been exercising every day. Most days I run 2 mile runs and sometimes walk 1 mile in addition, on other days i do a workout dance class for an hour. If I skip a day of exercise I feel very guilty. I constantly worry and think about my body, and when I eat food I read all the labels. I’m not starving myself, and I don’t make myself throw up or anything like that, I don’t binge, but I’m always obsessing over everything I eat. I make sure everything I eat is very healthy, and I seriously never eat any junk food or sweets. Last night I was at my grandparents for dinner and they served a small slice of pie for everybody, but I just COULDN’T eat a bite, I never am able to eat sweet things like ice cream or anything. My mom says that I should be able to enjoy sweets occasionally and that I need to stop worrying since i’m exercising regularly. That makes sense, I know, but I can’t bring myself to eat anything sugary like that. I don’t love my body and so if I ever slip up eating something that isn’t 100% good for me, i’ll feel VERY guilty. Today at lunch I had a lot of granola which was full of sugar and nuts and I felt very guilty, even though it was organic and it was light brown sugar, it was just extra calories. I know i’m not anorexic or anything, and I’m not underweight I know.. I’m just really trying to lose a little weight and tone up. Sometimes I find myself chewing food and spitting some out instead of swallowing it all. Not all the time, but sometimes. I’m always jealous of other peoples bodies and I just wish I could have a beautiful body. I always think that i’m not happy with my body and I eat unhealthy, it’s my fault that my body isn’t the way I want it to be. I can’t go a day without worrying about my body and the food I put in it.
Do you think i have an eating disorder? if so what would it be? I don’t feel comfortable talking to anybody I know about this because it’s really embarrassing. I don’t know what to do edit: I always think that IF i’m not happy with my body and I eat unhealthy, it’s my fault that my body isn’t the way I want it to be. I can’t go a day without worrying about my body and the food I put in it.

Best Anti Aging cream in the world, and completely natural.
4 parts Olive oil 2.5 parts shea butter (refined works best) 1 part grapeseed oil Half part avocado oil Quarter part jojoba oil 1 part rosewater or orange blossom water
This recipe is brilliant as a moisturiser and if used after bathing, leaves the body very soft and moisturised. Basically it has all the benefits of oil but in the form of a cream so is very easily to apply. Only need to use a very small amount because it is very concentrated. Cheap to make because all the ingredients can be bought from most retail outlets except for shea butter and jojoba oil which is optional. Shea butter can be purchased quite cheaply now on the internet and provides the basic ingredient that will turn the oils into a cream.
Method:
In a bain marie (or a small bowl over hot water) place the shea butter with the olive oil and heat until it is completely melted. Take off the heat and add the other oils. Stir really well with a whisk. Slowly add the rosewater or orange blossom water whilst it is still very warm.
Now, as it cools, it will start to harden. In order to speed up the cooling, place the bowl in a fridge or somewhere really cool and keep whisking every few minutes until it is whipped up into a beautiful cream. If the mixture is allowed to cool naturally, this can take up to 3 hours to cool and whip up but if placed in a really cold area, it really speeds the process up. Very important to do a lot of whipping.
The cream/body butter lasts easily for over a year if kept in normal cool conditions in a clean jar, it will melt if placed somewhere hot but still works if you use it on your skin. All the ingredients have a natural preservative action so it does not need any preservatives but keep an eye on it if you make a batch to make sure there is no contamination. It doesn’t contain any harsh chemicals that will aggravate skin conditions such as eczema or psoriasis.
You can use other oils and almond oil works really well as the main ingredient. It is a really brilliant recipe and especially good in cold weather and for anti aging. If you reduce the amount of shea butter you can make a body milk but you might need to experiment a little. Great for presents as you can buy jars very easily online and make up your own labels and paste it on the jar. Retail of similar products are very expensive.

The vet only recommended a soothing wound cream but I find the cream is so greasy and gets flaky, esp. that I have to apply all over my dog’s body. I’m thinking of dipping my dog in some kind of cooling solution to stop him from itching all over. I currently have peppermint oil but not sure if it’s OK.
Recommendations greatly appreciated. If you don’t advice this solution, maybe you might have other solutions, thank you.

Question by veggieforlife: Am I eating healthy… and is my exercising good? I am a 14 1/2 year old girl, height is 5ft 1in, weight 84lbs. I am currently trying to recover from anorexia/bulimia. I am eating about 2300 calories per day and about 25 grams of fat, I kinda have a thing about the fats(almost all are healthy fats, usually no more than 4 grams saturated). I am a vegetarian, also. Everyone at my school tells me that I don’t eat enough, even though I do and they don’t realize how much I eat and how full and bloated and miserable I am. They also say that eating too healthy can counter act and be unhappy and make me die, which is a bunch of bull crap! It just really hurts my feeling, even my best friends say it. My diet consists of: Kashi products(oatmeal, cereal, waffles, rice, pizza, etc…I practically live off it) 8th continent soymilk…i usually dont use regualar milk brown rice whole grain pasta whole grain bread broccoli mixed vegetables bananas apples dried apricots raisins oranges orange juice apple juice rye bread fat free pudding Odwalla Bars Ensure Shakes..occasionally the plus pistachio nuts Spirutein protein shakes w/ 1 cup soymilk and 1 tbsp natural peanut butter organic soups(Amys or Muir glen)
Breakfast: waffles syrup fat free cream cheese ensure shake juice
Lunch: Odwalla bar brown rice veggies broccoli dried apricots raisins pretzels
Snack: orange, apple, or banana Spirutein protein shake(soymilk and peanut butter, sometimes banana)
Dinner: pasta tomato sauce juice english muffin with apple butter
Snack: ensure popcorn fruit
That is pretty much what my diet consists of, is it healthy?? Anything that I should add?
I also weight lift, BODY PUMP tape 3x per week then one day I usually go to the gym for 45 minutes doing the bike, eleiptical, and walking on the treadmill.
Can someone please suggest anything for me? I am always super bloated and get full really cuickly, it is terrible! thanks in advance

I bought the Jergens Natural Glow Face Moisturizer and the Jergens Natural Glow Body Lotion both in Medium to Tan…and I’m kind of nervous about using them because since they are a gradual tanner lotion I’m afraid they will turn me orange…I’m the maid of honor in a wedding this Wednesday and I wanted to be more tan since Im wearing a short dress and it’s an outdoor wedding…a couple of my friends told me that to make it work faster I need to put both lotions on 3+ times a day…I don’t want to start using them until I know they wont turn me orange…because I don’t want to be orange for my best friends wedding! Why is this happening?

I just started running three weeks ago I started at 2 miles a day and gradually increased it to 5 miles in 30 mins.I do this at 1 pm and at 8pm.At first it hurt so bad I couldn’t walk for a few days and now I feel no pain at all.I run everyday of the week and take sunday off.
Now I weighed 140 5’6 and had 37 percent body fat and 25 percent muscle.Now I weigh 143lbs 30 percent body fat and 27.8 percent muscle.I have lost inches everywhere but I have gained weight.I also use the total body gym 3 times a week for my arms.
I eat super healthy,examples:private selection organic oatmeal for breakfast ,a cup of superfruit green tea,two tomatoes,almonds and almond milk for snack,kiwii,grilled chicken tender romaine salad for lunch with homemade lemon dressing,and brown rice with itallian seasoning and grilled chicken. desert is yogurt or my dolce gusto iced cappuccino with a tablespoon light cream. I eat like this every day of the week except for sunday.Then I just make chinese fried rice and honeyed chicken,or lasagna.I still only have a small serving.I also eat whole grain pasta,and whole wheat bread,extra virgin olive oil,honey,raw sugar 5g packets one or two a day and moms best organic cereals,1 percent milk,almond milk,soy milk.
Everything that I eat is organic and contains the smallest amount of sugar/carbs.
Now my biggest problem is I love tea and I can drink it all day but I never feel like eating because I could really care less for food.
So why did I gain that much weight???
I also play dance dance,Just dance2,wii fit,and clean about 1 hour a day.So I burn about 1000 calories a day at 8 miles and I still gain weight.I’m confused.I eat about 1500 calories a day. I also hate salt with a passion so it couldn’t be water weight.
