Is it only me who thinks that perfume is gross? They all smell so strong?
Question by ☼ ♥: Is it only me who thinks that perfume is gross? They all smell so strong? Do you wear perfume? And if so, what perfume do you wear?
I’m looking for a perfume but they are all so strong! I’m used to the “edible” body creams–you know, like vanilla, cotton candy, etc. I like sweet natural smells. What are some nice perfumes!
symmetrical acne on both sides of my face?
Question by spiritmolecule: symmetrical acne on both sides of my face? i’ve had acne since i was 12 or 13. i am 19 now, and still struggling every single day with it! sometimes i have it under some sort of control, and other times it rages. either way, it’s always there. i eat really healthy organic food, i stopped eating dairy, i take vitamins, i use benzoyl peroxide, and a really awesome zinc cream that heals up anything within hours, and i try to treat my face really well. i also use a mineral based makeup with no harmful ingredients. this summer i realised that my acne is symmetrical on my face. if i get a pimple on one side, i get one within hours to a couple days on the other side of my face in the exact same, or close to the same spot! it is so annoying, and i just want to be free of it so badly! i know i should probably go see a holistic healer but i don’t have insurance and i don’t know where to find one in my area. i’m sure it has something to do with my body internally, but nothing i do works! and beleive me, i have tried EVERYTHING! also, i quit smoking ciggarettes after 4 years of it. i heard marijuana raises testosterone and can cause acne, but if that’s really the cause then s*** i’m cursed with this forever! i quit ciggs 3 1/2 months ago. one more thing — i’ve had depression for as long as i can remember, and life always seems to be really stressful, but even when it seems like i’m settling down a bit the acne is still there. i’m pretty sure it’s not resacea, my face doesn’t look that bad or red or anything, just breaks out a lot!
My genitals are darker than the rest of my body, am I able to ‘bleach’ my skin?
Question by Picklebarrel: My genitals are darker than the rest of my body, am I able to ‘bleach’ my skin? I am only a little darker, I guess it’s from having sex with my partner, as I used to be lighter in my genital area, so I know it’s due to natural reasons.
I understand this is a question of some concern to others as well, and that it may be seen as risky bleaching the skin, but are there possibly natural ways of lightening the skin a little to match the rest of my body? I want to try bleach, most likely diluted with water, over a period of time to see if my skin lightens a bit. I understand there are creams, but I’m looking for a ‘home remedy’ on this one.
Please let me know if you have any advice, or have heard anything. I know that some will say, “don’t, it’s dangerous,” but I am considering this seriously and am looking for good advice since I am planning on going through with this.
Thankyou all kindly for your help!

Really good, inexpensive natural/organic skin care and hair care?
Question by PianoTeacherKim: Really good, inexpensive natural/organic skin care and hair care? I am trying to move toward a more organic lifestyle for my family and my 10-month-old baby. I’m having trouble finding good, natural skin and hair care that doesn’t cost a fortune! I don’t have $ 30 for a bottle of face lotion or $ 25 for a bottle of shampoo, as much as I would like to be able to spend that.
I’m in my late 30s and dealing with aging, still acne-prone skin, and have curly fine hair. The natural products I have tried – just from a trip to the very-limited natural foods store we have in our small town – just don’t work well for me. I know there’s a transition, but red skin and products that make my curly hair flat and take the curl out really don’t work for me.
Can anyone give me recommendations on great products that work well for you? Thanks so much!
Q&A: Jergens natural glow?
Question by : Jergens natural glow? I use Jergens natural glow express medium/tan skin tones and i like it but it’s a body moisturizer. I use it on my body but i want a face self tanner thing just like it. I’m worried I’ll get the wrong product because my face might be a different color from my body. Any products out there that’s the same color as Jergens medium/tan?
Natural skin care?
Question by Greg: Natural skin care? I have a red complexion on my nose and cheeks, and I have more open pores than I want at 29. What natural skin treatments should I try? The past few days, I’ve tried lemon juice and face masks. Yesterday, I tried lemon juice and mashed banana. None of this stuff has hurt — but what would make the biggest difference?
How to reduce the hair growth in the body?
Question by : How to reduce the hair growth in the body? My husband has hair all over his body and he doesn’t like it. It’s such a pain to trim every week. Now our son is 10 months old, and he has plenty of hair on his head and we can already see lots coming in his body. Is there any way that we could apply a cream or some kind of natural stuff over his body to reduce the hair growth?
We saw pure turmeric will reduce it. We tried applying it when he takes bath. But it brings kind of small rashes on his back. Not sure if that turmeric is the reason or we started giving him watermelon juice this week. Yet to find out. Past 2 days we didn’t apply turmeric and it seems reducing.
So seeking an alternate way to stop this hair growth on his body. Please help.
I get itchy legs when I wear blue jeans and never did before? What’s in jeans?
Question by Help_Me: I get itchy legs when I wear blue jeans and never did before? What’s in jeans? I never had this problem before just a few years ago. I’m fine all winter and then I put on my jeans and they start to itch so bad. I’m wondering what’s in them. I know there’s the blue dye, but is it cotton? Is denim something other than cotton? Is there something like an organic blue jean? I have no problem with shirts and never get itchy on my upper body. The only thing that’s helped is not wearing jeans(which stinks) and also using an allergy cream. Any thoughts, ideas, solutions would be great. I’ve been tested for allergies, but nothing I remember had to do with jeans. Is there something I can be tested for? I am allergic to nickel, but nothing other than that and it’s not the buttons that cause my lets to itch…it’s the fabric. Oh and I know it’s not just the weather being dry in winter as it starts to happen during the fall when it’s very wet out. Also, not the detergent, as I wash my shirts in the same stuff and have tried different things just to see. Must be the fabric. Thanks!!
