They really are better for you. I have recently switched all of my products to natural ones and have already noticed a difference. This is a rule I go by when I'm buying products: If you wouldn't eat it, don't put it on your body. Another one is, if there are more ingredients you don't recognize than ones you do, it 's no good.

Organic products have more nutrients in them from the plant (Vitamins minerals etc.) and organic plants are not sprayed with pesticides. Organic products also have no chemicals in them. Natural products have no chemicals in them.

They really are better for your skin. Most non organic products have either/or parabens (cancer and reproductive trouble causer) or propylene glycol (anti freeze. Just guess what that can do to you.) And putting that directly on your skin? Ew.

To see which products don't cause such horrible things, go to skindeep.com.

So, why is there a difference and why is this so difficult? Lori S correctly stated the meaning of organic for the grocery store. The link cited is also a good one.

So, let us read between the lines. As far as I know, if you were to chemically analyze 'organic' versus conventional foods, you would be unable to distinguish between them. I believe the value or 'organic' foods is a teleological one. If god made the food using nature, then because it is from nature, it must be good for you. If the food came from the use of man-made chemicals, it must be harmful.

So, in a chemistry sense, you are limited. If you have vitamin A-Z, vanillin, benzoic acid, ethanol, etc., the chemical bonds and chemical properties of 'natural' or 'organic' are identical to synthetic. The verity of the chemicals without regard to source is vital to our understanding of chemistry. There isn't an organic C-H bond. Therefore, scientifically, there isn't any difference in 'organic' versus 'non-organic'. As a result, in order for a food to be 'organic', its domain is the legal one cited.

For me, this is the hypocrisy. If I believed that 'organic' or 'natural' were better for my health, then why would I go to a doctor who practices modern pharmaceutical medicine? If I rejected the farmer from using chemical methods to protect his crops, why would I want to do the same for myself? I also do not want to leave you to think that pesticides are not or cannot be harmful. After all, if a compound disrupts nerve transmission in an insect, it would be foolhardy to think it would not have an effect on us. That simply means that pesticides that use that mechanism of action have label restrictions on their use. A pesticide must be allowed to biodegrade so no residue is found in the foods. This is similar to the use of drugs, the prescription details how a drug should be used. Don't alter it.

In nature, all species have their niche. Many species depend on chemical defenses. Tobacco produces nicotine to ward off insects. What the public loses sight of is that chemical companies use the biodiversity of compounds to search for new drugs. What they really discover is new and important targets for those drugs. The most effective drug is usually further optimized for pharmaceutical use. There are a very large number of penicillin drugs compared to those found in nature.

Take a survey, how many instances of death (the most extreme chemical reaction) do you find reported from pesticides versus from nature. Which is the most dangerous, salmonella, e. coli, or Round-Up herbicide?

Hair stylist warn against Pantene. I use John Freida. I don't know if it's all natural, but I love it. They have it for certain colors like Sheer Blonde, Brilliant Brunette, Radiant Red. It works well.

hi! i have the same problem, i crave junk food all the time. the fact that you are a dancer is great because you are not likely to have weight problems, excersise is the most important. the problem is emotional eating and eating out of boredom. i always crave food when bored so try to distract yourself, when you crave food go for a walk, go to town or anything that will get your mind off it. drinking is also very important, thirst often disguises itself as hunger and especially with your active lifestyle it is really important to get hydrated. if you dont like water go for fresh fruit juice. this is great because it is sweet and healthy and stops the craving. also try sugarfree chewing gum or a mint once in a while. it will calm your craving down.
the next thing you need to think about is what you eat for your main meals. you have to eat three big meals a day and have snacks in between, apples or yoghurts are great or even musly bars or vegetables. the main meals however should contain protein as that will fill you up.
remember that you can always eat junk (it is the reason to live :))) and go for the cheesecake once in a while, it isnt going to harm you, you are a dancer for crying out loud but just dont take it over the top. if you keep hydrated, distract yourself when the craving comes and have a healthy diet you will feel so much better and it will show in your mood and appearence!
best of luck!!!!

first off sorry to hear about your problem. eating when your depressed is totally normal. however, starving yourself and eating low carlorie diet all the time is not healthy! eat a healthy breakfast like a whole grain cereal, fresh fruit. NO Starbucks! also try running, and watch your portions of food that you intake, limit yourself to eating food afte a certain time period at night. i stop eating after 8:30pm and i run in the morning. there is nothing wrong with a hamburger or ice cream with all it's topping sometimes just watch what you eat and how much you consume. also try fiber, its very important hope this helps!

I like to make my own!
I bought this aromatherapy book which tells you which herbs and oils are best for practically everything!
I like to use my own oils with a base oil to mix with.... they really do work / help , and work out cheaper than shop bought!
